David Josephson is a 2017 C/OF, 3B with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from La Mesa, CA who attends Helix HS. Young, athletic frame with longer limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.37 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, low and athletic set behind the plate, gains ground with lower half, shows a quick transfer into a full arm action, gets on top of throws, quickness to arm and accuracy on throws, arm strength will continue to develop. Switch-hitter, shows a balanced stance from the left side and shifts weight well through lower half. Narrow stance, contact approach with slight lift out front, shows a feel for the barrel with a short path to the ball. Balanced from the right side as well, more fluidity in overall swing, gets hands and barrel through the ball, lower hand set with extension in swing and a middle of the field approach. Good student.
