David Spechler is a 2007 right handed pitcher/outfielder from Hollywood, FL with a slender build at 6-0, 150 lbs. He pitches from a sidearm slot with a maximum effort delivery. His fastball tops at76 mph and shows good cut action. He gets good cut movement on every fastball from his arm angle. His curveball has a 10-4 break at 64 mph. He throws a slider that shows decent sharpness and depth at 72 mph. He has a very deceptive delivery that keeps hitters off balance. He hits with an open to close approach with a high hand set and a small trigger. He has quick hands with decent bat speed. Defensively, he has a strong arm at 79 mph from the outfield. He is very athletic and he ran a 7.00 in the 60. He is a good athlete with good potential and he is a definite follow for 2007. David is an excellent student.
