Frank Niemann is a 2017 C/1B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Sanford, FL who attends Lake Mary HS. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and nice present strength throughout proportioned build, strong lower half. Ran a 7.65 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, higher set behind the plate, gains some ground with lower half gaining momentum into throws, short arm action with accurate throws down to second base, shows arm strength and carry at present and will continue to develop moor. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slight bend in knees and straight stance. Shows an easy timing trigger with medium leg lift, short and direct path to the ball, able to create impact and carry at point of contact. Has control off the barrel and stays inside the ball, incorporates strength well and works middle to pull side parts of the field comfortably. Excellent student.
