Ty Smith is a 2016 C/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Corvallis, OR who attends Crescent Valley HS. Medium build, plenty of room to get stronger. 7.30 runner, moves well for a catcher, clean and loose arm action, tends to throw off his back side which costs him some arm strength, accurate throws, 2.16 best pop time. Right handed hitter, straight stance with a leg lift trigger, rotational upper half swing, aggressive hitter who swings hard, has some bat speed and gets good carry when he puts the ball in the air, should keep improving offensively with additional strength.
