Brendan Murray is a 2017 OF/RHP/SS with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Quincy, CA who attends Quincy HS. Long and slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, moves into contact well, low hand start with short swing and good hand quickness, mid field line drive contact, fundamentally sound swing and should continue to improve as he gets stronger. 7.25 runner, shows athletic actions on defense especially in the infield, moves well to the ball, developing his arm strength will be key defensively. Also pitched, drifting delivery with a big stride out, high 3/4's arm slot, tends to fall off to the first base side during delivery. Fastball topped out at 71 mph, soft curveball. Good student.
