Brandon Bottari is a 2016 RHP/MIF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Shoreham, NY who attends Shoreham-Wading River. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and long limbs, projects well with added strength. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works from a low three-quarter arm slot, longer arm action in back. Leg raise delivery, stays tall on back side. Good presence on the mound with an easy arm action, long stride down the mound. Worked fastball in the 77-79 mph range, generates run on pitch with lower slot. Mixes in a 68 mph curveball well with strong sweeping action across the zone. Shows arm strength across the diamond in the infield, takes short steps to the ball, shows ability to charge in well. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open base and crouched stance, uses lower half well in swing, gets barrel through the zone, shows ability to hit to all fields. Outstanding student.
