Jose Manuel Valenzuela is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from El Paso, TX who attends Del Valle HS. Young slender build with room to put on additional strength. Solid arm strength on throws across the infield. Takes his time during the transfer. Flashed signs of some feel for the middle infield. At the plate, switch hitter that starts with an upright stance and high hand set from both sides. From the right side, starts with a slightly closed stance. Middle of the field approach on a short compact swing. From the left side, starts with a slightly open stance. Swings on a direct bat path generating good bat speed. Looks to lift the ball. Moves well all over the diamond. Good student.
