Jack Ferguson is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 5-10 157 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends North Atlanta HS. Medium young athletic build, lots of room and time to get stronger. Compact arm action and delivery, lands closed and throws cross body, lower release slot, hides the ball well and has deception, low effort release, throws under control and repeats his mechanics. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 77 mph, gets nice running action. Throws two types of breaking balls, frisbee slider with a big sweep is the better pitch, tends to slow arm on curveball with softer spin. Has nice feel for his change up. Knows how to pitch and mix it up, throw strikes and keeps hitters off balance. Left handed hitter, aggressive approach with a busy hand load, swings hard and looks to drive the ball. 6.96 runner, showed his athleticism and arm strength potential in the outfield. Young and should continue to improve physically; already knows how to pitch. Good student.
