Maddux Conger is a 2015 RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Stephenville, TX who attends Stephenville HS. Medium athletic build with good compact strength. Rock back delivery, gets balanced over the rubber well, compact arm action with a very quick arm coming through, 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well and has deception. Low 90's fastball, topped out at 93 mph, heavy sink and run, bat breaking life at times, stays low in the zone with his fastball and will throw lots of ground balls. Inconsistent release point on curveball but flashes hard tight spin and sharp biting action at times, can also shorten up his breaking ball for a hard slider. Developing change up. Pounds the strike zone, maintains his velocity and is exceptionally quick to the plate from the stretch. Lots of present tools and skills. Good student.
