Makenzie Stills is a 2018 RHP/MIF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Fayetteville, GA who attends Fayette County HS. Medium athletic build, middle infielder's look. Long and loose arm action,3/4's arm slot, fast arm coming throw with moderate effort. Low 90's fastball, topped out at 93 mph, has good heaviness and sink down in the zone, will straight up in the middle of the zone. Nice slider with sharp biting action, will occasionally drop down to a lower slot with his slider release and it will flatten out. Quality arm who can pitch with two very good pitches. 7.11 runner, long and loose actions on defense with lots of arm strength, fields the ball cleanly with good balance. Right handed hitter, has a simple shift and swing, quick hands from an open start, rotational approach, gets some whip in the barrel but would still benefit from more physical strength with the bat. Potential two-way college player but likely a long-term pitcher. Good student, verbal commitment to Vanderbilt.
