Ryan Rendon is a 2016 OF/1B, 3B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Mcneil. Large, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build and room to fill otu with added strength. Ran a 7.14 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball, fields the ball out front nicely, shows solid mechanics to the ball, full arm action with some whip, will continue to develop arm strength with the incorporation of lower half into throws. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set. Upper body swing, short path to the ball, works behind the ball well, solid swing and consistently gets the barrel to the ball. Line drive contact to the opposite field but shows ability to hit to all fields, patient approach during in game at bats. Good student.
