Ryan Margolis is a 2016 RHP/ with a 6-1 196 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Southridge. Large frame with solid, athletic build and plenty of strength throughout. Employs deceptive delivery on the mound with smooth mechanics and balance throughout. Showed a FB and CB as his offerings, working well with both. FB worked up to 81 MPH with good sink down in zone; deceptiveness of delivery makes FB seem quicker to hitters. Generates a ton of weak contact and ground balls. Shows good CB with 11/5 shape and sharp break; getting whiffs on the pitch. Hit with high hands and toe tap trigger, short path to the ball, line drive swing plane with consistent contact to the middle of the field. Shows ability to hit to all fields. Fields out in front in the infield with some range to both sides; makes accurate throws across the IF topping at 76 MPH. Very good student.
