2014 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
Quinton Bent is a 2015 3B/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Mississauga, ON who attends Our Lady of Mount Carmel HS. Very nice athletic build, has some present strength and plenty of projection. Right handed hitter, straight leg stance, high hand start creates some length, swings down to the ball, loose hands and good extension through contact with some bat speed, tends to pull off front side in swing. 7.44 runner, good to the ball on defense, nice first step with good hands, showed some arm strength in drills but tended to throw tentatively in games, tools there to improve on defense with more repetitions and confidence. Raw skilled athlete who has some tools.
