Francisco Del Valle is a 2016 OF/1B with a 6-1 192 lb. frame from Santa Isabel, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy/HS. Strong and athletic frame, well proportioned with long and strong arms, square shoulders. Ran a 6.86 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, long and loose arm action with solid footwork to the ball, athletic action and works through the ball well with solid arm strength and on line, accurate throws, reacts well on reads off the bat. Lefthanded hitter, starts with a slightly open stance and does a nice job of getting closed moving into contact. Small leg lift trigger, shows a direct hand path to the ball with fluidity and strength in his swing. Generates easy bat speed, hard and loud contact consistently, pull side approach and shows ability to drive the ball out of park with back spin. Knowledge of the strike zone and recognizes spin out of hand and able to make an adjustment. Named to Caribbean Top Prospect List. Very good student.
