Travis Tillerson is a 2008 OF/3B/C with a 5'8'', 170 lb. frame from DeBary FL, who attends DeLand. Tillerson has a medium sized frame with a stocky strong build. Defensively, Tillerson has good range in the outfield and moves to the ball well. He has arm strength with a good release. Behind the plate, he has some catch and throw skills with a nice release. He sets up well behind the plate and moves to block balls well. At the plate, Tillerson starts with a slightly closed stance and maintains good balance through his swing. He has a short swing and is aggressive to the baseball in the strike zone. He makes consistent solid contact and his bat stays on a nice line drive path. He has hand quickness to the ball and generates bat speed. Tillerson has present gap to gap pop and has good baserunning instincts on the paths. Tillerson is a good student.
