Josh McNeal is a 2015 3B/RHP/OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Valdosta, GA who attends Valdosta HS. McNeal has a lean athletic build. hits from an open stance, deep hand load with good weight transfer to the ball. Stays balanced with a solid approach and good barrel control. Has good hard pull contact and flashed pull side power. Has looseness and swing and good bat speed, solid hitter. Defensively, from the INF, shows good athletic actions, with good agility laterally, hands work well, gets under throws a bit but overall has clean transfer and release. Showed infield ability during games taking good angels on balls and working through them and showing good arm strength. From the OF, threw 86 with an easy arm action. has athletic actions. Also pitched, high 3/4 arm slot from a short arm action. Online delivery with good extension. Fastball is mostly straight but shows arm side run when on top and out front on release. curveball has 1/5 spin with good action. Does good job on change up keeping arm speed up and creating some deception on sinking change up. Repeated delivery well. Good Student.
