Maverick Miller is a 2017 MIF/OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Marion, IA who attends Marion HS. Medium frame, slender build, plenty of room to fill out physically as he continues to mature physically and put on additional muscle. Ran a 6.92 60-yard dash, runs well. From the infield, great lateral range, athletic actions, quick transition, over the top throwing action. From behind the plate, starts with a low setup, short stride, gets direction, quick release. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a low hand set. Gets barrel moving through the zone, ability to hit to all fields, some raw pull side power, swings on a line drive swing plate, generates some lift at the point of contact. Has projection as he continues to develop. Excellent student.
