Paul Benitez is a 2016 MIF/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Lake Nona HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with additional room to fill out moving forward. Primary middle infielder, shows a short and quick arm action on throws across, wide base fielding, quick footwork, remains balanced and fields the ball out front, shows sound footwork and quickness moving through the ball on the charge. Similar arm action from the outfield, effort at release with a high slot release, good energy to overall actions. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Upper body swing with a short and compact swing path to the ball, short weight transfer through lower half.
