Chance Hroch is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Temecula, CA who attends Vista Murrieta HS. Large, lean, projectable frame with solid present build and good room for continued growth. Long, loose arm action up to high 3/4 slot, slow tempo delivery, fastball worked 85-87 topping at 89 with good life on pitch. Solid command of the offering to both sides of the plate, down in the zone. Generates good downhill plane. Does a good job limiting pitch count by working to induce weak contact and miss barrels. Showed slider as primary secondary offering, showing good two-plane break with sharpness and swing-and-miss potential. Arm speed, looseness, and body all speak to good velocity projection moving forward. Good overall pitchability. Named to 2015 Sunshine West Top Prospect List. Very good student.
