Brooks Stotler is a 2015 SS/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Vista, CA who attends Rancho Buena Vista. Large frame, lean athletic build. Plus runner, ran a 6.68 60 yard dash and speed was a weapon on the bases and translated into good range defensively. Slash and run hitter with a contact approach, gets out of the box quickly, solid bat speed with a simple swing, line drive plane. Long strides in the outfield with good strength projection that can allow solid arm strength to take another step forward, already up to 88 mph in defensive workout, also showed good lateral range and body control in the infield as well. Got on the mound and ran his fastball up to 84 mph from a low three quarters arm slot and showed good spin on breaking ball. Good student.
