Alonzo Billips is a 2016 OF/RHP, 1B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Ladera Heights, CA who attends Loyola HS. Large frame, strong sturdy build. Switch hitter who showed power potential from both sides and is especially advanced from the left side. Crushed a double in the games from the right side, continued swinging it well lefty. Good bat speed and extension from the left side with leverage, line drive plane, smooth repeatable swing. Long arm action on outfield throws with quick arm, athletic outfield actions. Pitched from a three quarters arm slot and topped out at 75 mph with tailing action and showed a 12-6 curveball as part of a three pitch mix that also included a changeup. Good student.
