Ty Reynolds is a 2016 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Madison HS. Young and large athletic build, projects well physically, may outgrow the middle infield. 7.09 runner, shows good arm strength with more to come, quick release and good footwork on his back hand. Right handed hitter, loads his hands deep from a straight balanced stance, direct hand path to the ball, swings hard and generates some bat speed, will open his front side early looking to pull at times, has hitting tools to develop. Also pitched, high leg raise delivery, compact arm action that shows the ball to the hitter, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, mostly straight with occasional 2-seam tailing action. Curveball showed good depth at times in the upper 60's. Slider/cutter served more as a change up with a short break. Worked quickly and threw strikes with all pitches. Good student.
