Rey Jackson is a 2016 RHP/ with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Southridge. Large, athletic frame with quality present build throughout body. Primarily a pitcher: arm works well with long arm action up to 3/4 slot, uses legs well in delivery and stays balanced throughout mechanics. Throwing consistent strikes with FB that worked 74-78 and topped at 79; shows life to arm side on FB, front hip will be under-rotated at times causing extra stress on the arm. Slider shows upper 60's velocity with quality horizontal movement. Hits from even stance with toe tap trigger, loading with inverted toe twist, keeps hands inside the ball and makes consistent contact up the middle. Repeats mechanics well. Shows range and solid flexibility in the IF, accurate and strong arm, topping at 80 MPH on throws across the 1B. Good student.
