Jacob Hand is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Ashburn, VA who attends Briar Woods. Extra-large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build. Ran a 7.15 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well on feet, charges in well and gets body behind the ball to gain momentum into throws, stays tall at release, shows strength on throws. Works from a three-quarter arm slot on the mound, topped out at 76 mph with fastball, shows nice command with the pitch. Lots of confidence in curveball at 67 mph with 11-5 shape and sinking action on changeup. Right-handed batter, starts with a high hand set and an upright stance. Swing shows length but gets hands in on inside pitch well, good feel for the barrel, line drive contact hitter with ability to go to the opposite field. Very good student.
