Jan Arroyo is a 2016 2B/SS/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Cayey, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy/HS. Young, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build with room to fill out. Has quick-twitch to frame, ran a 6.88 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front with soft hands that plate, quick feet with solid footwork, moves well to backhand, gets on top of throws and shows accuracy across with present arm strength. Righthanded hitter, starts with a narrow and even base and a high hand set and back elbow. Upper body swing and stays balanced well through swing, hits off backside but remains short to the ball. Keeps hands inside and incorporates them into swing, contact approach with steady contact to middle of the field. Very good student.
