2005 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Ryan Conlon is a 2006 1B/RHP from St. Luke's School in Ridgefield, Connecticut, with a strong and solid 6'2"/208 pound frame. A right handed hitter, Conlon hits from a relaxed and open stance. He has strength and leverage in his swing and showed good power potential. Ryan is a line drive hitter with slight lift in his swing. At first base, he has a good feel for the position and moves well around the bag. He also has a solid arm across the infield at 71 mph. As a right handed pitcher, Conlon throws from a 3/4 arm slot with short arm action. He gets a downward angle to the plate and does a nice job keeping his fastball down in the zone. His curveball had 11-5 break and he throws it for strikes. Conlon is a very good student.
