Joseph Fessenden is a 2006 OF/RHP/1B from Portland, Maine, with a big and thick 6'3"/215 pound frame. Joseph is a physically strong two-position player. As a right handed hitter, he hits from an upright stance with a small stride. Fessenden has an aggressive approach at the plate with very good bat speed. He has strength in his swing and showed raw projectable power as a line drive hitter. Joseph moves well in the outfield and stays online to throw. He showed a solid arm from the outfield at 77 mph. As a right handed pitcher, he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with loose arm action. Fessenden uses minimal effort in his deliberate delivery. He does a good job moving his fastball inside and outside. Joseph also throws a tight breaking curveball at 69 mph that he can throw for strikes. Fessenden is a very good student.
