Zachary Cote is a 2007 IF/OF with a 5'8'', 160 lb. frame from Dawsonville GA, who attends Dawson County HS. He has a short, small build with live, quick actions. He played both infield and outfield at the showcase. Cote had quick feet in the infield but was often off balance. His exchange was quick and his arm strength profiles to second base. He looked much more polished and comfortable in the outfield, with very good arm strength and better actions to the ball. He could likely help at team with his versatility to play both positions. Offensively, Cote showed good bat speed for his size and an aggressive, attacking approach to hitting. He has a line drive swing plane and good extension through the ball. He showed the ability to handle the bat head and made adjustments. Cote showed that he knew how to play the game and was a hustling, scrappy player who is maximizing his physical tools. He's a very good student off the field.
