2003 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Gribbin is an "04" RHP/1B who profiles well on the mound. At 6'4/195 he is big and strong with mid body strength. He can still get stronger yet in the top half. He can swing the bat and play defense, but his future is on the hill. He threw mid 80s in Wareham with a 67 mph breaking ball and a 71 mph change up. He showed good command, though he does throw slightly up hill. His fastball looked fairly straight and we're not sure if he uses a two-seamer. If not it would help him a lot. Anyway he shows arm strength and he is a big guy with good arm action. A good pitching coach might do wonders and pay big dividends. Brandon is a good student.
