Ernie Ruiz-Sierra is a 2016 2B/ with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Belen Jesuit Prep. Medium frame, lean build with room to fill out. Solid defensive fundamentals, stays low to ground and bends well. Quick feet, solid actions with quick exchange and release. Could be more aggressive charging the ball at times, profiles well at second base. Right handed hitter, wide base, hands at shoulders in setup. Rotational swing, can spin over frontside occasionally, Has hand quickness and shows ability to pull the ball. Some natural loft in line drive plane, could see developing power down the road. Very good student.
