2014 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase
Joshua Williams is a 2014 RHP with a 6-7 200 lb. frame from Spring Grove, IL who attends Richmond Burton HS. Tall very slender build, lots of room to get stronger, especially in the lower half. Full clean arm circle, tight 3/4's slot, arm works well, strides out and gets out front. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, cuts fastball at times, aggressive with fastball and uses most of the time, throws strikes with fastball. Tends to shorten arm arch on curveball and drop elbow, flashes good spin and some bite when he releases it out front. Shows coordination and projection for his size, should improve with increased leverage in delivery and additional strength. Named to the Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase Top Prospect Team.
