2014 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
Isaac Rubendall is a 2016 RHP with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Sioux Falls, SD who attends Lincoln HS. Tall slender build, especially in the upper half. Slow paced delivery with a pause and backwards lean at the top, good hip turn, stays on line well, long arm in back and shows the ball, high 3/4's arm slot, gets downhill effectively. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, mostly straight with good angle when down in the zone. Threw two types of breaking balls, short breaking soft slider, slow curveball with some downer 12/6 depth, tends to shorten arm arch and slow down on breaking balls but throws both for strikes and mixes it up. Should continue to improve with additional strength and physical maturity.
