Dane Grounds is a 2016 SS/2B, OF, RHP with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Ponderosa. Medium, athletic build with a lean, projectable build and room to fill out. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, shows nice range with soft hands that play, upright finish on throws, strong arm across. Full arm action in the outfield, fields the ball out front, shows strength on throws with a quick release and carry. Also pitched, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a full arm action in back. Stays tall and balanced on backside, throws easy with a loose arm, topped at 79 mph with fastball with sinking action. Right-handed batter, starts with a quiet approach, upright stance and an open base. Barred start, long path to the ball, gets barrel and makes solid contact, shifts weight through lower half and shows bat speed in swing. Very good student.
