2014 Rocky Mountain Showcase
Jake Taylor is a 2015 3B/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Boise, ID who attends Timberline HS. Large, athletic frame with good present strength in build. Ran a 7.27 60-yard dash. Third base build, actions play nicely there, fields the ball out front well. Shows arm strength across the infield from a lower arm slot. Longer release behind the plate, gains ground towards second base well with lower half, accurate arm with strength on throws down. Needs to get on top of throws. Right-handed batter, starts with a spread base and upright stance. Upper half swing, needs to incorporate lower half and will see increase in power. Short, line drive swing with contact to all fields. Excellent students.
