Jacob Urias is a 2023 3B/RHP/IF with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Midland, TX who attends Midland. Medium build with some present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance, has a quiet approach at the plate that gives him very consistent timing in his swing, has some quickness in his hands and can get some pull jump off the barrel, line drive swing plane, projects well as a hitter. 7.58 runner, fields the ball out front with soft hands, feet are pretty active, made the routine plays cleanly, developing arm strength with good accuracy. Took a turn off the mound, simple side step delivery with a compact arm action, long stride out front. Fastball topped out at 70 mph with a soft 12/6 curveball, threw lots of strikes and challenged hitters.
