Andrew Schatz is a 2015 C/OF/IF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Lafayette, CA who attends De La Salle HS. Tall, strong, proportioned frame with present lower half strength. Ran a 7.37 60 yard dash. Gets the ball out quickly from behind the plate and makes very accurate throws. Has above average raw arm strength and has advanced catching actions. High upside defender. Bats right-handed, works from a simple approach and uses a leg lift trigger. Has a high back elbow and stays short to the ball. Has a flat, line drive swing path and flashes bat speed. Good student.
