Carter Windes is a 2016 OF/2B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Hudson Oaks, TX who attends Aledo HS. Compact athletic build. 7.07 runner, quick first step, uses his speed well on the bases and on defense. Can play both outfield and second base, profiles best at second base with a shorter arm stroke, moves to ground balls well, can improve footwork in the outfield. Right handed hitter, stays on his backside, inside out approach, quick short swing, wants to work the ball to the opposite field, fights off the inside pitch waiting to get something middle away, has the hand quickness/compact swing to learn to turn on the inside half as well, leadoff profile. Good student.
