Jack Avallone is a 2016 1B/RHP with a 5-10 195 lb. frame from Demarest, NJ who attends Northern Valley Demarest. Medium frame, strong build with present strength. Primary first baseman, short arm action on throws across the diamond with some arm strength, shows athletic actions off the bag. Topped out at 76 mph on the mound with some arm side run from a high three-quarter arm slot, stays on top of the ball well. Filled up the strike zone with fastball and breaking ball. Left-handed hitter, starts from an open starts and a low hand set. Upper half swing, shows ability to hit to all fields, keeps hands in and is able to turn on inside pitch. Longer swing with bat speed, gets barrel through the zone. Good student.
