Alex Karanjia is a 2018 LHP/ with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Moorestown, NJ who attends Moorestown. Large frame with a solid build. Primary left handed pitcher who worked exclusively from the stretch. High leg lift and raises hands in delivery. Stays tall on back side and utilized lower half well while working to the plate. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Fastball generated solid downward plane through the zone with slight riding life in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 79 miles per hour. Showed good feel for a curveball offering that had 3/8 shape with tight spin and solid depth. Also flashed a straight changeup offering in the low 70's. Mixed pitched well and effectively kept hitter off balance throughout each inning of work. Good student as well.
