Samuel Lefcourt is a 2020 LHP/OF with a 5-9 162 lb. frame from Keller, TX who attends Accommodated Learning Academy. Compact, athletic frame with a lean build. Projects for additional strength. Primary left handed pitcher who worked exclusively from the stretch. Medium leg lift and stayed balanced at gather. Worked to the plate with drop and drive lower half actions. Stays on line with front side while working to the plate. Loose arm circle at take back and released from a mid three-quarters arm slot. Fastball flashed some heavy life through the zone with the feel to work to each edge of the plate, topped at 78 mph. Curveball had 1/7 shape with tighter spin and good depth. Consistently looked to challenge hitters to the bottom quadrants of the zone with both offerings. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing clean, fluid footwork while closing to the baseball. Funnels baseball cleanly at pick up and maintaining momentum through exchange. Throws produced some on line carry to the bag topping at 79 mph. Left handed hitter with an even stance. Created separation with hands at load and works to contact with linear lower half actions. Utilized a line drive barrel plane through extension while employing a mid field approach. Flashed the ability to turn the barrel to pitches located middle-in and work to pull side as well. Good student.
