Noah Rodriguez is a 2018 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Victoria, TX who attends Victoria West. Has an athletic build with room to fill out and add strength. Right hand hitter, starts with a spread stance, line drive swing plane, shows gap to gap approach and stays inside ball well. Repeats swing well and makes consistent line drive contact. Defensively, primary SS, has compact arm action, moves well and fields ball out front. Has soft hands, actions could be a bit quicker, but stays balanced well. From the OF, arm works well, good accurate throws. Has sure actions to ball. Also pitches, short side step into leg lift to balance point. High 3/4 arm slot with some drop and drive mechanics. Stays online well. Fastball was heavy with arm side run. Velocity projects as body develops and he matures. Showed a developing change up. Young player with tools to develop. Good Student.
