Nick Tiedemann is a 2018 SS/RHP/C with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Chandler, AZ who attends Brophy College Prep. Medium-large frame with lean, athletic build, solid physical projection remaining. Right handed hitter, even stance, small hand load with quiet, measured approach. Hits off of backside a bit, flashed solid bat speed and a nice hand path, showed ability to get extended and pull the ball with authority. Solid feel for the barrel with line-drive swing plane, at times can leak frontside but generally repeated approach well. Primary infielder, looks the part, gets down early and has solid transfer, may need to shorten up release a bit. Good athleticism, lateral range up the middle. Also pitched, repeated delivery well and works to a higher 3/4's slot. Compact arm-action, has good arm speed, fastball up to 82 mph, threw pitch for strikes. Also flashed feel for curveball with 11/5 shape and solid depth. Mixed in developing changeup. Projects well in all aspects. Very good student.
