Zach Ruther is a 2016 OF/3B with a 5-6 160 lb. frame from Flower Mound, TX who attends Flower Mound. Lean, athletic build with broad shoulder and present strength to his build. Ran a 7.60 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows a short arm action on throws, accurate to the intended base, moves well to the ball with short steps, tall at release, arm strength will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base, high hand set and a high back elbow. Barred start, shows a short and quick path to the ball, gets extension in swing, creates contact to pull side and gets the barrel through the zone. Outstanding student.
