Barry Agnew is a 2007 OF with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame from Greenville SC, who attends Wade Hampton. Barry has an athletic body with a strong core. Barry has good outfield actions and moves around better than his 60 time would indicate. At the plate, Barry starts with a wide stance and uses a no load approach. Barry has a top down bat path and has bat speed. Barry is an aggressive hitter who takes a solid cut at the baseball. Barry has good hand strength in his swing with good leverage. Barry has good power potential as his swing and body develops. Barry ran the bases well in the showcase games and demonstrated good instincts on the basepaths. Barry is also an outstanding student.
