Peyton Berry is a 2018 RHP/ with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Kennesaw, GA who attends Harrison High School. Large frame and build, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.31 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher, side step into delivery, uptempo, high leg lift past belt, quick arm, loose arm action, and threw from an extended three quarter arm slot. Generated good extension with funk and gets out front. Fastball worked 82=86/97 mph with short arm side life. Generated better plane to the lower third of the zone in the lower velocity band. Showed changeup at 74 mph with the same arm action and dive down and out of the zone. Also showed a curveball with depth from a inconsistent slot at 72 mph. At the plate, started with a high hand set, high back elbow, and utilized a toe tap timing mechanism. Drops hands to get on plane with impact off the barrel when timed. Showed raw bat speed with a linear swing plane and an approach that worked up the middle and pull side. Generated carry off the barrel with developing feel for timing. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect List.
