Will Phillips is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Media, PA who attends The Episcopal Academy. Large, athletic build with long limbs and present strength with room to add more. Solid runner, posted a 6.88 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, full arm action through the back side, works through the ball well and consistently gets on top of throws. Solid transfer, collects well and generates very good carry and arm strength on throws. Also pitched, similar arm action with a high three-quarter release with balanced delivery. Generates some downhill plane with above average arm speed, effort at release. Worked mostly off fastball, topped 80 mph and lived down in zone. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set. Short path to the ball, keeps head on ball and stays through it. Repeats swing well and shows quick hands in with nice contact skills and feel to use the opposite field. Very good student.
