Steven Reid Hanson is a 2018 RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Leesburg, GA who attends Lee County HS. Large, athletic frame with present strength to frame, proportioned well throughout and has additional room to fill out moving forward. Primary righthanded pitcher, smooth and on line delivery with a clean arm stroke working through the backside to a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, showed ability to work to either side of plate. Ball jumps on hitters and gets on quickly, not afraid to challenge in to righthanded hitters, pitches to contact and induces weak contact off the barrel. Worked down in the zone and showed a curveball at 65 mph with tight rotation and short depth. Also flashed a changeup for strikes and able to create deception on 68 mph pitch by maintaining arm speed and release point well. Very good student.
