Joseph Namendorf is a 2017 1B/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Wayne, NJ who attends Wayne Valley. Large, athletic build with broad shoulders and nice present strength throughout frame. Ran a 7.11 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, athletic actions off the bag, fields the ball out front and shows nice strength across with accuracy on throws. From the outfield shows a full arm action, gets on top of throws with an extended three-quarter arm action and gathers behind the ball well. Left-handed hitter, starts with a closed stance and a medium hand set. Quick hands with a line drive plane, consistent contact to pull side with line drives coming off the barrel. Has a contact approach with a nice feel for the barrel and a strong knowledge of the strike zone. Good student.
