Aaron Gerdes is a 2017 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Millard North HS. Medium athletic build, broad shoulders, has some young strength. 7.06 runner, third base actions defensively, glove tends to get down late to the ball, has some raw arm strength from a good arm action when on top, has the athleticism to keep improving. Right handed hitter, low hand start with an uppercut swing plane, aggressive hitting approach with some bat speed, looking to drive the ball and it comes off the barrel well, hits to all fields. Also pitched, showed some tools on the mound. Has a fast arm that works well, has some energy in his delivery and will occasionally recoil on release, fastball topped out at 83 mph and seemed to get on hitters quickly, slider showed good 12/6 vertical shape and some sharpness. Young and should keep improving. Good student.
