Hopkins is a big 2005 corner infielder. He stands 6 foot 3 and weighs 210 pounds. He projects best at first base and showed a very good glove their fielding ground balls and also taking throws from the infield. In fact, it showed as his best overall tool. He can make an impact defensively with that glove. He ran a 7.37 in the 60 showing some good athletic ability for a big man. As he continues to grow into his body he could become extra special powerful. Presently he showed quick hands throwing his bat head at the ball and hit one ball deep showing that he has the potential for some good power. Still young, Hopkins has a chance to blossom into a hard hitting power first baseman.
